Sex and the City

We went to go see Sex and the City today and I don't want to ruin it for those of you that haven't seen it yet. She and I came to the consensus that the movie on a scale of 1 to 10... We give it a 6.5 but we agree that the fashion was great a few were unrealistic but nonetheless great. For those of you that have seen it what did you think?

E.T.A. we did like the movie it just wasn't the greatest movie that I ever saw....The clothing was definitely stellar.

Life happens....

I know that I have been M.I.A. for about a week now but as you all know...life happens. Life happens at an alarmingly fast pace and sometimes and all that you can do is roll with the punches. Enjoy life this weekend.

Haunting...

yet beautiful are these pictures that have been all over the web.  When I initially saw the first picture I thought that it was just another beautiful yet artistic wedding picture and as I scrolled down I found out that it was a wedding that had been interrupted by the devastating earthquake in China. I read somewhere that the photographer was initially waiting outside so that he could begin to take pictures of the ceremony and then the quake began and he kept shooting. {Images:here}

To my budding biker chick...

Hi Folks,
It's Her...I just read My's blog about her biker lessons. Okay, so I laughed. TCB Crew? LMAO...but seriously, I'm excited for My to learn to ride. Although I share the thrill of riding with her as my passenger, it would be great for her to have her own bike. I am, however, very concerned for her safety...The bike she chose is the GSXR 1000, and any rider will tell you, no beginner should start on a 1000. The power alone will scare her to death. More importantly, for her to learn balance and control, she should do it on a smaller bike. She'll learn the basics from one of my "Serious Riding Club" brothers and then she'll take the california class to get her license. Then, if all goes well, we'll get her a Gsxr 600.

The 600 is a good size bike to start with. You get the weight of a small bike, but the power to maneuver through LA traffic. I learned to ride in 2003 on a Ninja 600...dang I loved that bike...

Then, after 2 years of riding, I moved up to my Suzuki GSXR 750, ultimately the best bike sizewise for me. Sucks that it was stolen...

And after a year and a half, I got my Hayabusa. While I love this bike to death, I'm considering getting a 750 again, because sometimes it's really heavy. It's very comfortable though, compared to my other two...

So, all I'm saying is a steady progression of experience is needed for a bigger bike. I think she wanted the gsxr1000 because the black and gold looks pretty. So, here's what I think...

We'll start you off with this one. And then once you get used to it, we'll talk about going bigger. As for the cute little pink gear and accessories, well, I'll work my fingers to the bone to keep you laced in the hottest biker girl couture.

T.C.B. Crew

You're probably wondering what the hell T.C.B. means... Well, first of all I get to have my first motorcycle riding lesson on Thursday. Yay, for me...  Moving on I was having a conversation with Her and I said that once I started riding motorcycles that I was going to start my own motorcycle club. I was going to name my club, The Crafty Bikers (T.C.B.) crew and of course she laughed and is still laughing... She is in a bike club and of course they are all serious bike riders (She is the HOT chick in the top right). I told her that she could try out for my club but she's still not guaranteed membership just because I love her. She keeps saying, "Well first you need to learn how to ride, let's not get ahead of yourself..."

****quick note to her if she's reading this. This bike is available here, but I want it in some girly color like pink or something... You know what I like.****
Bike
and of course you know that I want to look cute while riding. So I want to match just like you. So here are few ideas for you, for me... :-) And they are all available here.

Great News....

Great news as reported by the Associated Press today:

SAN FRANCISCO - California's Supreme Court declared gay couples in the nation's biggest state can marry — a monumental but perhaps short-lived victory for the gay rights movement Thursday that was greeted with tears, hugs, kisses and at least one instant proposal of matrimony.

Same-sex couples could tie the knot in as little as a month. But the window could close soon after — religious and social conservatives are pressing to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot in November that would undo the Supreme Court ruling and ban gay marriage.

"Essentially, this boils down to love. We love each other. We now have equal rights under the law," declared a jubilant Robin Tyler, a plaintiff in the case along with her partner. She added: "We're going to get married. No Tupperware, please."

A crowd of people raised their fists in triumph inside City Hall, and people wrapped themselves in the rainbow-colored gay-pride flag outside the courthouse. In the Castro, the historic center of the gay community in San Francisco, Tim Oviatt wept as he watched the news on TV.

"I've been waiting for this all my life. This is a life-affirming moment," he said.

By the afternoon, gay and lesbian couples had already started lining up at San Francisco City Hall to make appointments to get marriage licenses. In West Hollywood, supporters were planning to serve "wedding cake" at an evening celebration.

James Dobson, chairman of the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family, called the ruling an "outrage."

"It will be up to the people of California to preserve traditional marriage by passing a constitutional amendment. ... Only then can they protect themselves from this latest example of judicial tyranny," he said in an e-mail statement.

In its 4-3 ruling, the Republican-dominated high court struck down state laws against same-sex marriage and said domestic partnerships that provide many of the rights and benefits of matrimony are not enough.

"In contrast to earlier times, our state now recognizes that an individual's capacity to establish a loving and long-term committed relationship with another person and responsibly to care for and raise children does not depend upon the individual's sexual orientation," Chief Justice Ronald George wrote for the majority in ringing language that delighted gay rights activists.

Massachusetts is the only other state to legalize gay marriage, something it did in 2004. The California ruling is considered monumental by virtue of the state's size — 38 million out of a U.S. population of 302 million — and its historic role in the vanguard of the many social and cultural changes that have swept the country since World War II.

California has an estimated 92,000 same-sex couples.

"It's about human dignity. It's about human rights. It's about time in California," San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, pumping his fist in the air, told a roaring crowd at City Hall. "As California goes, so goes the rest of the nation. It's inevitable. This door's wide open now. It's going to happen, whether you like it or not."
