Eco Friendly Bags

The people over at Baggu Bag's came up with a great idea for eco friendly reusable bags.  These are great especially for people like me who always leaves their bag at home.  These stylish little bags come with their own pouch and also are available in 10 different colors.  One to go with every outfit.  Compact enough to fit in your purse,  yet large enough to hold the contents of 2 -3 plastic or paper bags.

What you get for the money... Part duex

So, I get this email from my brother a few days ago, and the subject reads," house for sale."  I proceed to open the email only to find the tiniest house I have ever seen in my life, with a not so tiny price tag of $179,000.  Yes, you did read that correctly, $179,000 freakin dollars.  For none other that a dollhouse... What can you do but laugh.  Oh, and if you're interested the house is located in Toronto.

What you get for the money....

Okay, so today it's raining here in LA and we decide of all days that today is the day that we must get out of the house.  She and I laughed at this very notion (us getting out of the house in a rain storm). We get out, we go eat and we head on over to the Regency Theatre over on Fairfax.  We decided that we'd go over to see the movie there #1 because it's hella cheap (who can beat 3 bucks) and #2 because we wanted to see No Country for Old Men (I'll discuss that later).

Upon arrival we discover that in order to keep cost down, the snack bar also happens to be the ticket counter as well but that fine. So we head on over to theater number 1 which is playing our movie, as soon as we enter I immediately smell this musty odor.  Fine, we're like okay what else do we expect for 3 bucks..... Well we turn the corner only to discover what that musty odor was... It was half the damn theater covered in rain.  Half the theater was blocked off by yellow tape as well as blankets of plastic sheeting.  Out of ummmm.....lets say 250 seats there were only 40 available.  What can you do but laugh?

During the middle of what started off as great movie, what happens?  Pieces of the ceiling started falling into the theater as well as trickles of rain!!!!  No, I'm serious!!!!  Really, dead serious.... So despite the fact that theater was a total health hazard the ending of the movie sucked...  Really, I'm serious.  Save your money, wait for the DVD if it is a must see for you.  It was like you're about to climax and then... nothing!!!!  I don't really know who decided that it should possibly be a movie of the year but then again we all know how bad the Oscar picks can be...

At it again: Swap-Bot

Last year I started a swap over at Swap-Bot called Cup of Tea w/ Paper on the side.  Basically, you had to send your swap partner a tea cup and saucer, a package of tea and a interesting article to read while enjoying their lovely cup of tea.  Well today I started the second round.  You can check out the information here if you're interested in participating. The last day for signups are January 30, 2008.

Fiveleft

So today I am over at Etsy checkin things out and I come across the coveted Treasury.   The Treasury was  filled with an abundance beautiful, chocolately brown handmade goodness.  One thing really grabbed my attention was the beautiful leather Box Wallet that was made by Fiveleft.   They're made from hand dyed vegetable tanned leather.  I'm sure that these things are going to sell like hotcakes, so you should probably rush over and get yours now.

Plans of Prosperity...

I didn't make any resolutions this past new year because I knew that I wouldn't stick to them, just as most people don't.  However, I have decided to write down my goals for my business and a few personal ones this year.  The most important goal of this year or rather the motto for 2008 is Prosperity.  Prosperity in life, love and business.

So here goes:

1. I plan to network more this year.

2. I also need to advertise more this year.

3. I will keep getting my hustle girl on.

4. I started sketching again yesterday. So I plan on selling some of my art in the next few weeks.

5. I also plan to shift my site to more of an online boutique instead of just having jewelry.

So these are just a few goals for the year.  I am sure that I will be adding to these as the year progresses. How about you, do you have any goals for the year?
