I love these...

vases from CB2. I think that these would look great in my bathroom. Another great thing about these hanging vases is that they are super duper affordable. The prices range from $1.95 to $4.95. Yes, I did say $1.95 and I need to get over there and pick up mine before they are all gone.

Remember the bed...

the one that I was talking about a few days ago here. Well I found a similar one over at Brocade Home, and although it is on, "Sale". It is still not the price that I am looking for. I am determined to find this bed at the price I want to pay.
ThebedOh, wow they also have it in an Espresso finish . This might work. But there is something very feminine and subtly sexy about the white finish. What do you think? Don't you just love Brocade home.

This song is FIYAH!!!!

I heard this song a few months ago on one of the rare occasions that I was listening to the radio in the car. I missed her name but I caught it yesterday, Jazmin Sullivan. She is so giving me Lauryn. But Jazmin is BAD (bad meaning good) in her own right.

And just for a little flashback treat. A little Lauryn Hill from the unplugged she did a few years back. I hope that I am not the only one needing a new Lauryn album.

This is what I want my bedroom to look like...

when I grow up. I saw this bedroom this morning over here and I knew that I had to share. I mean I am usually not really a, "Shabby Chic" kinda girl, well...maybe sometimes I am... I don't know where the picture came from to give credit. If you do know please let me know.

If you haven't....

checked out Wanted or Hancock, you probably should make that move. Both are must see options for the Summer. Wanted was full of action, Angelina Jolie was HOTT and the ending was unexpected. Hancock was a great movie as well and very funny.

The Milk Man is coming.....

I was blessed enough to get one of the coveted Treasuries over at Etsy this morning and I decided to fill it with  Milk Glass. I know that I go back forth with my list of current obsessions but today Milk Glass happens to be it. Top left from Nanna's Attic, Restoration Hardware Milk Glass canisters, Urns from Callooh CallayMilkman and candy dish from Vinegar and Pop Vintage .

I was at IT again...

Okay, I couldn't help it. You know once you get the spirit of DIY in you, it's hard to get it out. Also, it felt kinda therapeutic this weekend. I scoured Craigslist and I found this great table and two chairs for $35. Brought it home, picked up a can of black semi-gloss paint (thought that it would look good with the sideboard from a few week ago) and Viola... I was also inspired by Freckles Chick and her table makeover here. So what do you guys think about this project? Also, thanks for all of the great feedback about the sideboard.

Because black has always been beautiful....

it's about time people noticed.  Italian Vogue has done something ground breaking and allowed photographer Steven Meisel to produce a primarily black issue. Filled with images of beautiful black women such as Liya Kebede, Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Iman and Jourdan Dunn just to name a few. Goes on sale in the US on July 1st. Make sure that you pick up your copy.
One question that was posed was, how long does it last... Does the magazine go on stands next month with a lack of color?

I heart her...

Audrey Kawasaki.  I love how soft the women always look in her paintings. I also love how they all seem very innocent and yet very sensual.  I love that a lot of her paintings have are of women together.  Below are just a few of my favorites. Make sure that you check more of her work out here...Kawasaki

I love me some...

Frank Morrison. I love how sleek the bodies are and how vibrant the colors are. I am really lovin' the Soul Sistas Collection (which I have been lovin' for a few years now). Also, make sure that you check out the Urban Professionals Collection as well while you are over there taking a peek, the women are all DIVAS.
